2.3.1 What is mobile VoIP calling? How does it work?
Mobile VoIP calling refers to making phone calls from a mobile handset via voice over internet protocol. The internet protocol can be either 2.5G or 3G data networks provided by the mobile phone carrier, or the WiFi networks by mobile phone users. The key reason people choose to make VoIP calls instead of using traditional mobile phone calls, is simply the price! In this application, a mobile phone is used similar to a computer. Software has to be loaded in the mobile phone to enable the VoIP calling on it.

2.3.2 Do I need a data plan on my phone to make mobile VoIP calling?
No, you do not need to have a data plan. You can use a WiFi network to make mobile VoIP calling. In fact many people do so because of the expensive nature of data plans in many parts of the world. If you currently have a data plan, you can lean on it to make cheap VoIP calls, however, it is not a must.
2.3.3 Do I need a smartphone to use mobile VoIP calling?
Theoretically no, but practically yes. It is recommended that you have a smartphone for mobile VoIP calling.
2.3.4 Do I need to install any special software on my smartphone?
Depending on the type of smart phone you have, you will need to download the appropriate software.
iPhone, you need to install iPhone VoIP software.
Nokia phone, you need to install a Nokia VoIP client.
Windows Mobile phone, you need to install a Windows Mobile VoIP client.
Blackberry phone, we have not located a VoIP software yet.

2.3.5 Which brands/model of smartphones do you support?
We support iPhone, Nokia smartphone and Windows Mobile smartphone.
For Blackberry smartphones, we recommend you use its internet browser for cheap calling by going directly to the www.vbuzzer.com and log in to your account.
2.3.6 What if I do not have a smartphone? Can I still use mobile VoIP?
If you do not have a smartphone you are still able to use mobile VoIP. Simply access your mobile phone’s internet browser and go to www.vbuzzer.com. Log in to your account and you can start making calls.
It is not exactly VoIP and it involves 2x calling rates, but it is still a cheaper option than your mobile carrier’s rates.
2.3.7 Do you have any configuration wizard for DIYer?
We currently offer the following configurations:

2.3.8 The wizard requires a username and password. Where do I get them?
Use the same pair of username and password of your Vbuzzer account. If you don't have one yet, simply registering one by download Vbuzzer Messenger.
2.3.9 I did not find my mobile phone model on your list, what should I do?
If you are unable to locate your phone model on our list, it may simply mean that we currently do not have a program for it. You may want to consider using the web browser on your phone to make calls (please note this will not be VoIP calling).
Go to www.vbuzzer.com and log in to your account. You can start making calls by directly using your web browser.
2.3.10 What are the rates of Vbuzzer mobile VoIP calling?
The mobile VoIP calling rates are the same as the computer to phone calling rates. Please click here to view the phone calling rates.
2.3.11 I am traveling now, how can mobile VoIP save me money?
You can avoid the expensive roaming charges as well as the long distance charges from your mobile carrier. This in itself will save you a considerable amount of money! In many cases we are talking about $1 dollar per minute charged by your mobile carrier, compared to the 2 cents per minute Vbuzzer charges.
