Hi Guys,

I have a happy news for all Unlocked PAP2 owners. If you have a PAP2-NA, ignore this threat, but if you have an Unlocked PAP2, keep reading.

I found a way for all unlocked PAP2 owners to be able to perform PSEUDO Factory Reset their PAP2 while online.

First of all, let me clear this: NEVER NEVER NEVER FACTORY RESET YOUR UNLOCKED PAP2 after or before following the steps. The bellow steps will not turn your PAP2 into a PAP2-NA. This means your PAP2 will still be a PAP2. Only it will have default PAP2 settings after PSEUDO Factory Reset.

If you ever feel like you want to factory reset your unlocked PAP2, don't use 73738, just follow the steps here, and you will see that at the end, your PAP2 will be like perfomed a factory reset.

The purpuse of PSEUDO Factory Reset is to have back default Unlocked PAP2 setting, and nothing more.

To follow the steps, you have to be online.

1- Go to your PAP2, admin login and advanced view

2- Click on Provisioning tab

3- Chose "Provision Enable" as "YES"

4- Clear "Profile Rule" and copy-paste the link bellow
http://www.geocities.com/ilovepap2/PAP2/PAP2-factoryreset.xml

5- Save the settings

6- Navigate to URL:
http://pap2/admin/reboot

(Replace "pap2" w/ the IP Address of your PAP2)

7- Sit back and wait about 2-3 minutes.

or

6- Pick up your phone and press the star key 4-5 times (*****)

7- Dial 732668 (i.e. R E B O O T) and #

8- You may hear "Option Successfull"

9- Hang up the phone and sit back

Now, you need to wait about 2 minutes. Maybe maximum of 3 minutes. Then your PAP2 will take the xml file I typed. That xml file has default setting values of an Unlocked PAP2. Therefore, after 2-3 minutes, your PAP2 will have factory setting values.

Now we all are able to do a kind of factory reset (PSEUDO Factory Reset) on our unlocked PAP2. With above steps, we don't need to use the real factory reset done by 73738 at all.

Isn't that great?
