Q: If I sign up a fax number, what happens if my computer is off when somebody sends me a fax?
A: Vbuzzer will receive the fax for you and send the file to your Vbuzzer account. In the meantime you will be notified by instant message that you have received a fax. You can retrieve the fax document when you log in to Vbuzzer Messenger or log in to your Vbuzzer account on the web.

Q: Can I receive faxes when I travel internationally?
A: Yes, you can receive both local and international faxes when you are traveling.

Q: Can I receive faxes from countries other than US or Canada?
A: Yes, your Vbuzzer fax number can receive faxes sent from international locations.

Q: Can I use the fax number to make/receive phone calls?
A: No you can not. The virtual fax line is solely dedicated to sending and receiving faxes. If you would like a phone number, you need to subscribe to a separate phone number from Vbuzzer.

Q: Do I get an alert upon receiving an incoming fax?
A: Yes, you will get an alert via instant message once you log in to Vbuzzer Messenger.

Q: Can you send me the incoming fax as an email attachment?
A: No we do not provide fax to email. You must login to Vbuzzer on the web or Vbuzzer Messenger to retrieve your fax.

Q: In which file format will I receive my fax?
A: You can select either TIFF or PDF format. Currently the default file format is TIFF.

Q: Do you have a Linux or Mac version that supports internet fax?
A: No, currently the internet fax feature is only available on Vbuzzer for Windows.

Q: How do I know the fax was sent?
A: Vbuzzer Messenger generates a work log for each job. You will be able to see if the job was successful or not (ie. with a time stamp etc.)

Q: Can I manage my fax from a remote location?
A: Yes, Vbuzzer fax is as portable as Vbuzzer Messenger so you can use it where ever you go.

Q: Can I port my existing fax number to Vbuzzer?
A: We currently support Canadian fax number porting only.

Q: Can I use Vbuzzer Fax for group faxing?
A: No we do not support group faxing due to spam concerns.

Q: What file format is supported to send fax?
A: Any file format is supported, as long as you can open it with your computer program, Vbuzzer can send it to a fax machine. These include, but are not limited to, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, TIFF, JPG, and Postscript, etc.

Q: Can I send a fax internationally?
A: Yes you can. Charges will be based on our international faxing rate.

Q: To send fax, can I compose my own fax cover page?
A: Yes you can. Simply uncheck the Vbuzzer default cover page, and upload the one you want to use.

Q: Can I send one fax to multiple numbers?
A: No, we do not support this feature due to spam concerns.

Q: Can I manually re-send a fax?
A: Yes you can. Please note that we treat each manual request as a brand new faxing job and you will be charged accordingly.

Q: What is the difference between Vbuzzer fax and fax by email?
A: Vbuzzer fax uses completely different technology than the fax by email providers. From the product perspective, one of the obvious differences is, Vbuzzer fax does not require any email address and does not use email in any way.
