Grandstream HT502 Handytone 502 Configuration Manual
Step1. Connect the Grandstream HT502 to an Internet connection according to the following screenshots:
A. Plug an analog telephone into the PHONE1 port
B. Plug the Ethernet cable into the WAN port of the Grandstream HT502 in order to connect it to a router or an Internet connection.
C. Connect the power cord to the Grandstream HT502
Step2. Connect a PC to the Grandstream HT502 to configure by the following steps
Connect an Ethernet cable from a PC to the LAN port of the HT502
Step3. Verify that the PC obtains a valid IP address from the Grandstream HT502
A. Make sure that the PC’s Ethernet adapter is set to “Obtain an IP address automatically”. Because HT502 provides a DHCP server and enable DHCP in the default setting, the PC can obtain an IP address from the HT502.
B. Run “ipconfig /renew” in the DOS command mode on the PC. By this command, the PC will obtain an IP address.
From the picture, we see the PC obtains an IP address 192.168.2.100 and the default gateway is 192.168.2.1.
Then, the PC can access the Grandstream HT502 by 192.168.2.1.
Step4. Set the configuration of the Grandstream HT502.
A. Open the admin login page by entering the followed link into your web browser:
http://192.168.2.1/
B. Enter the admin password “admin” and click on the “login” button.
C. The configuration page will be displayed. Click on the “BASIC SETTINGS” tab link. Fill in those circled fields. Please do not modify other default values.
D. Click on the “ADVANCED SETTINGS” tab link. Fill in those circled fields. Please do not modify other default values.
E. Click on the “FXS PORT1″ tab link. Fill in those circled fields. Please do not touch other default values.
F. Then click on the “Update” button at the bottom of the configuration page. A save page will appear.
G. Finally click on the “Reboot” button on the save page. Wait for a few seconds and the configuration will become effective.
